Day 02

There is no better way to start a beautiful day than climbing the Sigiriya Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most visited tourist destination in Sri Lanka. The famous gigantic lion paws gate-guard the stairs to the summit where once stood the monarch’s palace. Partway up the rock, you will see the famous frescoes of Sigiriya damsels, known to rank among the world’s oldest paintings.

Thereafter take an informative guided walk in a spice garden in Matale. Gain an insight into how spices that you have used to flavor you food at home, and many other tropical herbs that you have known or heard of, are grown. Later on be transferred back to your drop-off point.
