The Tour :

The name says it all – a number of key highlights of the island, including UNESCO preserved historic sites, safaris, nature hikes, walks in the museums and city tours as well as a relaxing beach break at the end will keep kids and grown-ups equally happy and engaged.

When to go :

Generally throughout the year, if not to count the entire September month and first half of October when the Yala Park is closed for its annual break. But this should not put you off as Yala can be easily replaced with near-by Bundala or Udawalawe Parks. Apart from that, you’d be doubly lucky if your vacation falls around August when the world’s biggest elephant-gathering occurs in Minneriya and the colorful Esala Perahera parades through the night streets of Kandy.

Best For :

All ages and basically everybody: from history buffs to outdoor fans and inquisitive school kids and simply any weary urban soul who needs a well-deserved break. Toddler-free families and physically fit senior citizens would enjoy the program far freely as some excursions require climbing boulders or hiking a 7-9 km trek.

Strenuousness :

Moderate, with ample time between vigorous activities.

Wheelchair Accessibility :

Inaccessible.
